WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative George Miller (D-CA) today wrote to the Department of Justice with additional comments regarding a letter sent to the Department in early July by House Resources Committee Chairman Richard Pombo and Ranking Democrat Nick Rahall, which referred to DOJ possible criminal investigation matters pertaining to lobbyist Jack Abramoff and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Miller has repeatedly urged Pombo to investigate possible violations of federal law and House ethics rules with regard to Abramoff and his representation of the CNMI government.
