Nisha Bhat (left) and Melanie Phillips (right) met with Congressman George Miller on July 27th to discuss their summer internships. Both Nisha and Melanie worked this summer in Washington, DC, with Mr. Miller's Education and the Workforce Committee staff.

Melanie, from Concord, CA, is a student majoring in politics, philosophy, and economics at Pomona College. She is participating this summer in the Fund for American Studies program. Nisha, from Hamden, CT, will be a senior this Fall at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut. She is interning through the Washington Workshops Foundation summer program.
