Women's Initiative

Earlier today I visited the Women's Initiative, where several women shared stories of their entrepreneurial successes and I saw great examples of job creation and community building in the East Bay.

The Women's Initiative is a micro-enterprise job training program funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration. They have provided training, funding, and support to 11,436 women entrepreneurs in San Francisco over the past 22 years. Women's Initiative serves the financially vulnerable women hit hardest by the recession. Their goal is to expand the number of women entrepreneurs in the Bay Area.
