Ending Subsidies for Big Oil, Supporting Renewable Energy
The House will again take up (and pass) legislation this week to roll back the unconscionable oil subsidies provided by the Republican Congress and President Bush to the domestic oil industry in 2005, and instead direct the savings – over $12 billion – to alternative energy programs: wind, solar, biofuels etc.

Speaker Pelosi has created a very telling map (above), laying out just how the proposed Bush Budget is negatively impacting communities all over the country.
